This grant scheme is designed to support young hepatology fellows, healthcare professionals, and academic researchers in pursuing clinical education, professional development, and impactful liver disease training initiatives.

 

Key Details

Grant Duration:           One year, commencing 1 December 2026
Funding Cap:              Up to HK$100,000 per applicant
Application Deadline:  31 October 2027 (or until the allocated funding is fully exhausted, whichever is earlier)
Notification of Results: Within one month of receipt of a complete application
 

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a valid HKASLD Ordinary Membership or Associate Membership for at least one consecutive year prior to the application date.

 

Eligible Funding Categories

​

 1.      Future Leaders Incubator Program 

Mentorship workshops, leadership retreats, scientific meetings, and local training modules tailored for young hepatology fellows. 

​

2.      Healthcare Professional (HCP) Seminars

Venue rental, AV equipment, hybrid streaming setups, and materials for CME/CPD training sessions. 

 

3.      Educational & Reference Resources

Scientific literature/journal access, educational reference books, and physical anatomical/ demonstration models for training purposes.

4.      Overseas Delegate & Faculty Support

Subsidised travel and accommodation for invited expert speakers and nominated local trainees attending recognised international conferences.

 Note: Travel is strictly limited to Economy Class fares only. Funding under this scheme (including Gilead/DCH sponsorship) is capped at a maximum of one US/Europe conference and one Asian conference per applicant per year.
